EuroDocInfo10, to be held in Valenciennes (France) on 21-22 January 2010, is the third transnational gathering of PhD students in computer science and informatics. After the first edition organised in Lille (France) in January 2008, attracting more than 30 doctoral students from Belgium and France (EuroDocInfo08), the second edition which was held in january 2009 in Mons (Belgique) has confirmed the success of this event by the participation of 63 PhD Students (EuroDocInfo09).

The goal of this event is to get the different actors in the domain closer together.

On the one hand, we want to strengthen the link between academia in industry by
(i) stimulating transfer of knowledge and technology from academia to industry;
(ii) increasing industrial awareness of the added value of a PhD in computer science;
(iii) increasing academic awareness of the practical impact of a Phd (such as industrial validation and valorisation).

On the other hand, we want to increase the visibility and stimulate collaboration of researchers across national boundaries, by gathering PhD students and their advisors from France, Belgium and neighbouring countries.

To attend this two-day event, registration is required (for industry participants as well as researchers). PhD students in computer science are strongly encouraged to submit a summary of their PhD research, which can be presented during the event, and which will be collected in a booklet that will be distributed during the event. All submissions will be peer reviewed by an international programme committee.
